Last week, the Natural Sciences and Computing Division at AQB held a special recognition ceremony to celebrate its graduating students from the Molecular Genetics, Biology, and Computer Science programs.

Abu Dis | Al-Quds University, the ceremony of acknowledging active researchers on campus took place on Sunday, May 24th, 2026. At this annual signature event, AQB has also been present with its researchers. Dr. Amneh Bardran, the Acting Dean, and Dr. Sameh Hallaq, the Assistant Vice President for Finance and Administration and Associate Professor in Economics have received the “Active Researcher Award” for this year.

Al-Quds Bard College announces that its Molecular Genetics graduates are now eligible to sit for the Israeli Ministry of Health’s Medical Laboratory Exam. This eligibility status includes the holders of the Jerusalemite  and 1948’s ID cards. Below we clarify the requirements and procedures necessary to obtain a license to practice the medical laboratory profession in Jerusalem. The Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) Program at AQB, supported by the Education Above All (EAA) Foundation, held its Spring 2026 Classroom Research Projects (CRP) Day on Saturday, May 23, 2026. The event opened at 9:30 am to an audience of students, their families, and faculty.

AQB students achieved a remarkable accomplishment by winning first place in the Innovation Competition within the Palestinian Student Scholarship Fund (PSSF) through the project BlinkVoice by Dana Dawabsheh, a Computer Science student. The project enables fully paralyzed patients to communicate through eye blinking using artificial intelligence technologies, representing a significant step in harnessing technology to serve humanity and enhance quality of life.

Al-Quds University’s Deanship of Scientific Research, in partnership with Al-Quds Bard College of Arts and Sciences (AQB), successfully hosted the 8th Palestinian Undergraduate Research Conference, bringing together undergraduate students and recent graduates from Palestinian, regional, and international universities for two days of virtual and in-person sessions at the university’s main campus. This year’s conference featured 94 selected research projects from 180 submissions, representing seven Palestinian universities—including participants from Gaza, as well as students from Jordan, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, and Turkey. The conference continues to serve as a vital platform for fostering a culture of undergraduate research, innovation, and academic excellence in Palestine and beyond.
