The Routledge Handbook on Palestine

On Monday, February 17th, 2025, Dr. Amneh Badran, Vice Dean of Al-Quds Bard College (AQB), officially launched her new co-edited book, The Routledge Handbook on Palestine, during a special discussion panel organized by AQB. Co-edited by Dr. Badran and Dr. Michael Dumper, the book provides a comprehensive overview of Palestinian history, society, politics, culture, and architecture, exploring diverse contexts and periods.
The launch commenced with the opening session in which Dr. Hannah Abdel Nour, President of Al-Quds University, Dr. Daniel Terris, Dean of Al-Quds Bard College, Dr. Amneh Badran, Vice Dean of Al-Quds Bard College, Dr. Dumper, and Dr. Salim Tamari, Director of the Institute of Palestinian Studies highlighted the importance and significance of this handbook, and its diverse axes which cover important elements of Palestinian history and culture through different eras. The event also included a panel discussion that featured four chapters authored by four distinguished contributors. D. Yara Saifi, Dr. Issam Nassar, Dr. Awad Mansour, and Dr. Amneh Badran, presented the main ideas discussed in their chapters. The event was attended by AQB students, staff, and faculty members, who participated in meaningful discussions and connected with scholars working on these critical themes.
