Al-Quds Bard College Signs Collaboration Agreement with the Medicare Laboratories to Advance Training and Scientific Research

As part of efforts to strengthen collaboration between the academic and medical sectors, and in a step that reflects both institutions’ commitment to integrating academic knowledge with practical application, Al-Quds Bard College (AQB) at Al-Quds University and the Elite Medical Services and Consultations Company (Medicare Laboratories) have signed a collaboration agreement aimed at providing specialized practical training programs for the Molecular Genetics AQB students, in addition to supporting joint research projects.

The agreement was signed on Monday, May 12, 2025, by Dr. Daniel Terris, Dean of AQB, and Dr. Bashar Al-Karmi, Chairman of the Board of Directors at Medicare Laboratories. Under the agreement, Medicare Laboratories will offer advanced field training opportunities for graduating students, helping to enhance their practical skills and better prepare them for the job market. The agreement also includes collaboration in scientific research, through support for academic projects and the publication of research papers, providing students and scholars with valuable opportunities to engage with Medicare’s advanced laboratory environment.

The signing ceremony was attended on behalf of AQB by Mr. Mahmoud Khaled, Head of the Natural Sciences Divisin; Dr. Amneh Badran, Vice Dean of AQB; Ms. Amal Jaber, Genetics Lab Coordinator; Mr. Ahmad Jaffal, Research and Teaching Assistant in the Molecular Genetics; and Dr. Wasif Al-Shareef, Assistant Professor of Molecular Genetics. And on behalf of Medicare Laboratories, the ceremony was attended by Mr. Abed Al- Rahman Abu Baker, Director of Public Relations and Marketing at Medicare Labs, and Ms. Dunia Abu Al-Reesh, Manager of the Medicare – Al-Eizariya Branch.

During the signing ceremony, both parties emphasized the importance of this collaboration in enhancing the quality of higher education through active integration of practical training and scientific research. They regarded it as a model for building impactful partnerships between universities and medical institutions.

This agreement marks the first steps of collaborating with Medicare, aimed at supporting education and community development. It also reflects AQB’s commitment to providing its students with hands-on, real-world experiences that enhance their post-graduation opportunities and readiness for the job market.
