Al-Quds University, Al-Quds Bard College,
Al-Quds Bard College organized a certificate awards ceremony recognizing mentors who completed the two-year ENTEC training program during 2021-2022. The training focused on providing quality e-mentoring services in Palestinian and regional schools based on “real” problems of practice that teachers face.
The ENTEC mentors and staff from the AQU IT department visited the Palestine Techno Park and Al Nayzak for Supportive Education and Scientific Innovation on August 2, 2022. This trip aimed to explore Augmented and virtual reality applications in STEM and humanities subjects. Mentors engaged in innovative discussions and considered exciting ideas for developing their AR/VR projects.
November 6th, 2021 - The ENTEC project at AQB presented a workshop entitled "Promoting Higher Thinking Skills in Teaching" at Al-Asala Model School in Amman, which in turn worked to enhance teachers' higher-level abilities and skills in education, which is reflected on students through valuable scientific outputs. Special thanks to Dr. Imad Mleihat for coordinating with the school administration and giving it an introduction to the workshop and its presenters.
The ENTEC project in the Master in the Arts of Teaching Program at Al-Quds Bard College held a workshop at the Advanced Schools “Al Madares Al-Mutaqademah” for smart learning- STEM (General Manager Dr. Asad Abu Hussein) located in the kingdom of Saudi Arabia on October 15, 2022. The workshop focused on promoting higher-order thinking skills in teaching STEM subjects. Dr. Ayman Khalifah, AQB MAT director, led the workshop, and Dr. ImadMlehat, a former MAT graduate, currently teaching at this school, facilitated the three sessions of this workshop. The workshop explored the meaning(s) of HOTS in the context of the STEM approach from a constructivist point of view. In addition, the participants were engaged in critical discussions about developing these skills through active learning techniques and examples.
