Al-Quds Bard College Participates and Co-Organizes The 8th Palestinian Undergraduate Research Conference

Al-Quds Bard College is pleased to invite you to participate in this annual significant academic event. This year it  will present 94 undergraduate research papers submitted by students of Al-Quds University in addition to different local, regional and international universities. 

Every year, Al-Quds Bard college’s students present their best research papers and compete for best research awards. 
This year, 10 AQB students are going to present their outstanding academic research results. 

The following AQB students will participate with their research:

1. Ceasar Sobeih & Amir Tarada: "Investigating the Impact of Hypoxia, HGF Stimulation, and Serum Starvation on LINC00467 Expression in MDA-MB-231 Breast Cancer Cell Line"

2. Mira Amarneh: "AI-Driven Targeting and Civilian Harm: Examining Israeli Military Practices in Gaza"

3. Christina Anastas: "Association Between FKBP5 Single-Nucleotide Polymorphisms and Genetic Susceptibility to Continuous Traumatic Stress (CTS) in Palestinians Living Under Settler Colonialism"

4. Bushra Mahmoud: "Amplicon Based NGS for Detection and Genotyping of human herpes viruses in Specific Regions in Palestine"

5.  Nabil Bader: "Child Labor as “Insurance” Under Occupation-Linked Income Shocks: Estimating the Human-Capital Debt in Palestine"

6. Amro Shrouf: "Fear, Agriculture, and Movement Disruptions: Stray Dogs in Nuba: Environmental Slow Violence"

7. Leen Ghanim: "Knowledge, attitudes, and determinants of Cervical Cancer Screening Uptake Among Women in Palestine: A population Based Cross Sectional study"

8. Maya Musleh: "Investigating Genetic Polymorphisms in TLR genes and their Association with the Variation of Clinical Outcomes of Helicobacter pylori Infection in Hebron District"

9. Toqa Jawabreh: "Sex-Specifc Association of the MAOA rs1137070 Polymorphism with Internet Addiction Severity among Al-Quds University students-Palestine: A cross sectional study"

10. Gabi Kharoufeh: "Orientalism between Iraq invasion 2003 and Genocide on Gaza 2023"

The conference dates:

• May 9th, 2026: Virtual Sessions (presentations and scientific posters)
• May 11th, 2026: In-Person Sessions - Main Campus/ Al-Quds University

Opening will take place on May 11th, 2026 at 10:00 am. 

Announcing Awards for the best presentations, May 11th, 2026 at 3:00 pm.
