A team of Al-Quds Bard College (AQB) students won second place in the Open Track at Jerusalem Hackathon 2026 with BlinkVoice, an innovative project that uses artificial intelligence and eye-blink tracking to help people with severe motor disabilities communicate and express their needs.
The winning team included Dana Dawabseh, Leen Najajrah, and Israa Harhash, under the supervision of Dr. Yazid Al-Badareen and Dr. Nael Abu Halawa.
Organized by the Bayt Mal Al-Quds Asharif Agency through the BMAQ Innovation Hub, the hackathon brought together more than 40 teams and 120 participants to develop innovative technology-based solutions with social impact.The achievement highlights AQB students’ creativity and commitment to developing technology-driven solutions to real-world challenges, while reflecting the College’s support for student innovation and participation in competitive opportunities.
