Al-Quds Bard College Celebrates its Alumna Nouran Darras’s Academic Achievement

Al-Quds Bard College proudly celebrates the achievement of its graduate, Nouran Darras, a graduate of the Molecular Genetics program, who was honored during the 11th Annual Celebration of PhD Student Achievements at Indiana State University School of Medicine. The event was held on Friday, September 11, 2026, to recognize doctoral candidates who had completed an important stage of their academic training and advanced to the research phase of their studies.

Ms. Darras successfully completed her studies at Al-Quds Bard College in 2024 and moved directly to the state of Indiana in the United States after receiving a merit scholarship to pursue a PhD in Biomedical Sciences at Indiana University. Nouran specializes in Translational Cancer Biology (TCB), an area of study within one of the unique specialized tracks of the Biomedical Sciences PhD program. Her research focuses on advancing the understanding of cancer biology and translating scientific discoveries into improved approaches to cancer research and treatment.
Held on the university campus, the celebration featured a white coat ceremony for the honored students, marking their transition into a new stage of their academic and research journeys.
