AQB students achieved a remarkable accomplishment by winning first place in the Innovation Competition within the Palestinian Student Scholarship Fund (PSSF) through the project BlinkVoice by Dana Dawabsheh, a Computer Science student. The project enables fully paralyzed patients to communicate through eye blinking using artificial intelligence technologies, representing a significant step in harnessing technology to serve humanity and enhance quality of life.
Additionally, our students Cesar Subeih, Darine Al-Azza, Sajeda Manasra, Mohammad Nour Dmeiri, and Leen Najajra won second place in the Leadership Competition with their project YOUthRIVING, an AI-powered platform aimed at supporting and empowering Palestinian youth by guiding them toward well-structured personal and professional pathways.
Both projects were supervised by Professors Yazid Badareen and Mohammad Abu Hayya, reflecting the excellence of AQB students and their leadership in innovation, artificial intelligence, and impactful community initiatives.
The College also commends the role of the Deanship of Student Affairs, represented by Dr. Mazen Al-Khatib, for their efforts in supporting these initiatives and competitions at the university level, as well as their support for participating students, which contributed to empowering and motivating them to achieve this accomplishment.
Al-Quds Bard College takes great pride in its students and their outstanding achievements, which reflect creativity, commitment, and a continuous drive to create a positive impact locally and internationally.
