AQB Student Reflects on His Academic Exchange Semester in Copenhagen - Denmark

Three years ago I made the decision to enroll at Al-Quds Bard College (AQB). I joined the program of Molecular Genetics, hoping to foster and grow my passion for the field of Genetics. AQB has since provided me with an environment that nurtured my skills on several levels, academically, socially, and intellectually. One of these great opportunities that AQB has provided me with is the study abroad program which I am currently participating in. 

My academic exchange experience at Copenhagen University in Denmark has been very enriching. The university offers comprehensive classes related to my major as well as advanced research programs. I have so far worked alongside some renowned professors and researchers while learning about the most recent discoveries in the field of genomics and molecular biology lab techniques. My time in Copenhagen has been both inspiring and motivational. It has broadened my horizons and upheld my belief that I am capable of making changes on personal and academic levels.  

Academia has not been the only enriching aspect of my experience here in Copenhagen. I have met peers from all around the world, each with their own unique story, and made very inspiring connections. These relationships have instilled in me the importance of cultural diversity and collaboration to face different challenges.

Soon, I will head back home, carrying with me the motivation and drive to make a difference and contribute to my community and college. I am grateful to AQB for this invaluable opportunity and look forward to the rest of my journey at the college.
