On Saturday, September 31, 2024 | The President of Al-Quds University, Prof. Dr. Imad Abu Kishek, honored Dr. Sameh Halaq, Prof. of Economics at Al-Quds Bard College, and Prof. Mahmoud Khalid, Head of the Natural Sciences and Computing Division. Both researchers received two awards: the Active Researcher Award and the High Impact Research Award within the SCOPUS database.
Dr. Halaq published several scientific papers during the 2022/2023 year, including:
“Child bodyweight, cognitive abilities, and well-being: evidence from West" Bank schools"
Prof. Khalid’s contribution was titled:
This award aligns with the university's philosophy and the vision of Prof. Dr. Abu Kishek to encourage faculty members across various colleges to publish research in scientific journals classified as Q1, Q2, or Q3. This initiative aims to elevate the academic standards of Al-Quds University, which has been ranked as the top university in Palestine according to the global QS University Ranking.
