Al-Quds Bard Launched Its First Unprecedented Student Award Recognition Ceremony

Al-Quds Bard College for Arts and Sciences (AQB) at Al-Quds University has launched its first-ever Student Recognition Award Ceremony, celebrating the outstanding achievements of AQB’s BA and MA students who have demonstrated exemplary work over the years and embodied the core values of our community.

The event took place at the Ibrahim Jalal Auditorium on the Al-Quds University Main Campus, with the attendance of AQB faculty, staff, students, parents, and distinguished guests. Among those present were Dr. Amneh Bardan, Acting Dean of the College; Dr. Ayman Khalifah, Director of the MAT Program; Dr. Lina Swaiti, Director of the EAA-Qatar Scholarship at AQB; Prof. Yazid Albadarin, Head of the Student Affairs Unit; Dr. Rana Al-Surkhi, English As a Foreign Language Division Head, Dr. Ibrahim Marazka, Head of the Core Division, Prof. David Courtney, from the Pylon and Academy tracks, and Dr. Mazen Al-Khatib, Dean of Student Affairs at Al-Quds University. 
The ceremony also welcomed a special delegation from Bard College in New York, including Ms. Malia Du Mont, Bard College’ Chief of Staff and Vice President for Strategy and Policy, and Dr. Christopher Gibson, author and professor.

During the ceremony, students were presented with the following awards:

• Best First Year Essay Award 
• Most Improved First Year Essay Award (Two awards, one for the Pylon and another for the Core Track)
• Student-Led Initiative Award 
• Engaged Research Award
• Civic Engagement Certificates (Three certificates)
• Top GPA for graduating students in each program (BA and MA) 15 awards
• Acknowledgement for the EAA Qatar scholarship graduating students (24 students)
• Recognition awards for seven AQB fellows 
• Recognition for AQB Academy program graduates
• As well as other outstanding work and achievements recognition and awards 

AQB is very proud of its students for their outstanding performance and achievements. The College strives to inspire its students to become the best versions of themselves while encouraging them to explore new opportunities for growth, innovation, and success.
