AQB Launches Digital Communication, Media and the Arts at Al-Quds University Campus in Beit Hanina, Jerusalem.

Al-Quds Bard College for Arts and Sciences (AQB) is pleased to announce that it will begin to offer the Digital Communication, Media and Arts program (DCMA) in Jerusalem, at Al-Quds University Campus in Beit Hanina at the beginning of the Academic year 2022-2023. In Fall 2022, students in Jerusalem will be able to start their academic journey to major in DCMA, taking half of their courses in Jerusalem and the other half in Abu Dis Campus.

The DCMA program offers a wealth of opportunities to students living in Jerusalem

  • Taking into account the special status of Jerusalem and its students, this multidisciplinary program offers merit and need-based scholarships for students who meet the criteria. Details about scholarships can be found at the AQB Admission and Recruitment Offices.
  • This four-year undergraduate program taught fully in English, enables its students to obtain two accredited degrees, one from Bard College in New York and one from Al-Quds University.
  • No need for a daily commute to Abu Dis campus during your first and second year in the program since your schedule will be divided into two days at Beit Hanina Campus and two days at AQB’s main campus in Abu Dis.
  • You will acquire a diverse set of skills that will make you more marketable to employers and/or capable of launching your own private enterprise in Jerusalem.
  • You will have the opportunity to network with many Jerusalem-based art galleries, cultural institutions, media agencies, influencers, marketing companies, and international organizations relevant to this field.
  • You will have the opportunity to develop your English language skills and increase your chances of pursuing a higher level of education (Masters and Ph.D. degrees).
  • Students who intend to major in DCMA are also eligible to work towards a minor degree in a number of other fields offered by AQB, equipping students with an even more diverse skill-set in preparation for the job market.
  • You will have access to an invaluable alumni network in Jerusalem and beyond, providing you with more mentorship and job opportunities.
  • You will become part of a diverse and vibrant social environment that emphasizes civic engagement through student clubs and extracurricular activities.
  • You will have opportunities to study abroad. Through AQB’s strategic partnerships and exchange programs, you can apply for a semester to study abroad in the US, Germany, France, Spain, or Belgium.
  • You will explore a wide range of unique courses. This interdisciplinary program offers distinctive courses taught by international faculty members through practice and theory. Courses such as Digital Media Lab, Investigative Journalism, Audio Storytelling for Podcast and Radio, and Video Production.
  • The program provides students with opportunities to learn about the modern and rapidly changing digital world both in their home country and abroad.
