AQB Students' Project Wins Second Place at international Entrepreneurial Pitch

Disrupt to Sustain (D2S) is an all-day entrepreneurial pitch competition hosted by Bard College's Graduate Programs for Sustainability. The competition was held on Sunday, December 12 at Bard College's MBA in Sustainability residency space in Brooklyn, NY (with options to connect virtually). Six international teams from the OSUN Social Entrepreneurship Practicum (out of 26 projects from 8 different universities around the world) competed together in an initial round in the morning. Out of those 6 international teams, 3 of them were projects by AQB students. The top two scoring teams and Investapeer Academy was one of them moved forward into a final afternoon round against outside finalist teams. In the final round, Investapeer Academy which includes three AQB students: Elias Amro, Natalia Handal, and Jalal Salameh competed against other finalist teams and won second place and received prize money ($1500) to support the implementation of their project or other professional/entrepreneurial pursuits. Natalia reflects on her experience, “it was an eye-opening and it really allowed me to push beyond my limits and recognize the potential within myself."
