In preparation for Palestine's participation in the study of “The Programme for International Student Assessment" PISA for the year 2022, the AQB MAT Enhanced Network Teacher Education Capacity (ENTEC) program held a workshop at the directorate of education in Jericho about promoting higher-order thinking skills in teaching for a group of 80 teachers from the Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Math, and Arabic Language disciplines. Dr. Daniel Terris, AQB dean delivered a short speech at the beginning of the workshop. Then followed by Dr. Ayman Khalifah, AQB MAT Director, and ten ENTEC mentors who are well-trained MAT graduates in mentoring practices and teaching methods explored different theoretical and practical applications of teaching higher-order thinking skills such as analysis, synthesis, evaluation, creation, critical thinking, and creative thinking with the participants. Dr. Mohammed Mater, the Genreal Director- the Center for Educational Research and Development (CERD) at the Ministry of Education, and Dr. Azmi Balawneh, the Director of the Directorate of Education in Jericho Governorate also provided thoughtfully speeches at the beginning of the event. The workshop took place at Al-Istiqlal University in Jericho.
