Position:  Short-term Research Assistant

Date:  April 27, 2016

AQB is seeking an undergraduate research assistant to work with an Annandale-based Bard College faculty member leading a research project on waste-management practices in the West Bank. The research assistant will conduct interviews with municipal garbage collectors, an imam, and a priest. The research assistant will also conduct participant observation on bread-related practices within his/her own household for 2 weeks. Responsibilities will include set up and conduct of the interviews, note taking during and after interviews, use of a voice recorder as appropriate, and note taking about daily household practices. The research assistant will coordinate regularly via Skype and email with the Bard Annandale faculty director of the research project on the development of interview questions and to report on data collected.

The anticipated workload will not exceed 100 hours in total over a period of three to five months, beginning as soon as possible. Compensation will be according to AQB policies for student employment.
